How to order a DPF off file, step by step
Reading, ordering and writing a DPF off file normally takes under an hour in the workshop.
1. Read the ECU
Read the original file with KESS3, Autotuner, FLEX or a comparable tool over OBD, bench or boot. Always keep a backup of the untouched read.
2. Check the vehicle data
Note make, model, year, engine code, ECU type and hardware/software number, current DPF fault codes and any previous tuning.
3. Upload the file
Send the original read through the customer portal and tick DPF off, plus anything you want combined with it.
4. We write and check the file
The file is written manually from your read and checked before it is returned, normally within 15 to 25 minutes in office hours.
5. Write and verify on the vehicle
Flash the modified file, clear fault memory, road test and confirm no DPF codes return and no regeneration is requested.
